Government Grant Consultant Services
For businesses seeking to maximise their government funding entitlements
Trusted Government Grant Advice on the Gold Coast
Cordner Advisory helps Gold Coast businesses identify and access government grants, tax incentives and funding entitlements across both state and federal programs. We've prepared hundreds of successful applications and know where most businesses leave money on the table.
Most grants aren't advertised loudly and many businesses don't realise they qualify until it's too late to apply. Our team maps your activities against available programs, assesses eligibility and manages the process so you're not navigating it alone.
From R&D tax incentives to export grants and industry-specific funding, we make sure your business is claiming everything it's entitled to, and doing it correctly.

Common Government Grant Questions
-
Eligibility depends on your industry, business size, activities and the specific program. The most common mistake is businesses assuming they don't qualify without actually checking. We run a structured eligibility assessment across current federal and state programs to give you a clear picture of what's available.
Get in touch and we'll tell you straight what you're likely to qualify for.
-
The R&D Tax Incentive is a federal program that offsets a percentage of eligible research and development expenditure, either as a tax offset or a cash refund for smaller companies. If your business is developing new products, processes or software, or improving existing ones, you may qualify even if you don't think of what you do as formal R&D.
-
The Export Market Development Grant reimburses eligible Australian businesses for money spent promoting their products or services overseas, including trade shows, marketing, overseas representatives and promotional materials. Businesses with annual turnover under $20M and at least $15,000 in eligible export expenses can apply.
-
Generally yes, most government grants are treated as assessable income in the year they're received, which means they can affect your tax position if not planned for correctly. There are some exceptions, and the R&D Tax Incentive is treated differently again depending on your company's tax position.
-
Most programs require detailed records of eligible activities and expenditure, the R&D incentive in particular requires contemporaneous documentation that proves the work was actually done. Poor record-keeping is the most common reason claims get reduced or rejected on review.
Talk to us about setting up a documentation process that protects your claim from day one.
